"WILL HE FIND FAITH?"

Luke 18:1-8  And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The purpose of this parable was to teach them that they should always pray and not give up, or faint, before the answer comes. But her persistence did what the fear of God and regard for human rights could not do with the judge. If this man would do that, then how much more would God help us when He cares and loves us and looks at us as HIS ELECT? There is no problem with God's care for us. ...Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

It takes faith towards God when you pray for your prayers to be answered.

In these last days people are losing faith rapidly. Now, Jesus' coming is referred to in this parable. Let me say that He has not yet come the second time. So do not let anyone tell you He came already in 1914 or any other year before now. But the parable applies to the first time He came as well as the second coming. In old testament there were people who were oppressed badly by the rulers of Israel.

Ezek 22:6  Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
Ezek 22:7  In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
Ezek 22:8  Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

Mica 3:1-3  And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; [Is it] not for you to know judgment? Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

Regarded not man nor widow

Prov 29:7  The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: [but] the wicked regardeth not to know [it].

Deut 27:19  Cursed [be] he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

God rebuked leaders of Israel over and over again for being so cruel to the people.

Job  22:9  Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

And when Jesus was about to come the first time, John the Baptist's father prophesied and referred to the freedom that the Messiah would bring and avenge Israel's enemies.

Luke 1:67-75  And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Zechariah prophesied that the Messiah would deliver Israel from her enemies. within.

Since Jesus came there are defeated foes. We need faith today, since He came, in Him and His delivering power. Lets look at Revelation in the eyes of spirit and see a revelation of Jesus Christ.

John was on the isle of Patmos.

John saw JOHN'S KILLING. SPIRIT OF POWER, LOVE AND SOUND MIND. Ephe 1:17-19  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

The word of God feeds our spirits and strengthens them.

Israel had the Messiah come to them, but most of them simply did not believe.

Most of Israel remained under her enemies when the messiah came. Jesus gave this parable to tell us the point of always praying and not giving up and fainting. We chatted today about the world pumping its materialism into our minds. But the word of God? The disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith in 17:5.

Luke 17:5  And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

One of the greatest messages I can preach to you again and again until you get it so down-pat that demons simply go bonkers trying to put doubt in you, is that you are dead with Christ. Hosea had to go and get a harlot named GOMER for his wife. Do you have faith?
