GOD GATHERS HIS JEWELS

Mala 3:14 - 4:2 Ye have said, It is
vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance,
and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we
call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they
that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the LORD spake often
one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance
was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon
his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD
of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as
a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern
between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him
that serveth him not. For, behold, the day cometh, that
shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD
of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you
that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his
wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Roma 2:6-10 Who will render to every
man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing
seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that
are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation
and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace,
to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
God has called us to glory
-this is our purpose and the Church's inheritance.
1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace,
who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that
ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle
you.
A man once asked me why I live
the way I do.
- I answered and told him
that there is more than this life.
- I want to ensure my eternity.
- Things do not appear easy
sometimes in the present.
- But one day something
great is going to happen.
Today the unrighteous seem to
get ahead
- Those who are crooked seem
to get by with it.
Do not lose faith:
Eccl 8:11 Because sentence against
an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of
men is fully set in them to do evil.
Though it appears the evil always
get by and the good doers seem to not be noticed and continue on anyhow....
God sees and writes it in a book of remembrance.
- They shall be God's.
- Malachi said they are
being noticed.
- One day all the universe
will behold those who stepped out and did right.
- God will gather His jewels
soon.
Jewels are the saints of God:
1Cor 3:11-15 For other foundation
can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man
build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because
it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he
shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer
loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
One day it will be revealed.
- The sufferings of this
present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be
revealed (Ro. 8:18).
- There is a great day of
revelation come.
- A great revealing to come.
- Many things will be revealed
then.
- The true hearted believers
as well as the hypocrite.
- The real and the fake.
Be not weary in well doing,
we shall reap one day if we do not give up and faint!
1Pet 4:12-3 Beloved, think it not
strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange
thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's
sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye
may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Trials are like the purging
and purifying of the jewels of God.
- God made us from the clay
of the earth.
- And He is changing us
at this time into the jewels he shall one day gather.
A day of revealing will occur.
- Fiery trials today only
REFINE the gold.
- They PURGE the jewels
to make them from chunks of coal into diamonds.
He will rain judgement on the
wicked.
- But the righteous shall
rejoice!!
1Pet 5:1 The elders which are
among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings
of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
God is soon going to gather
together all things in heaven and in earth in Christ.
GATHERING
Gene 49:10 The sceptre shall not
depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come;
and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Matt 25:32 And before him shall
be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as
a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Phil 2:9-10 Wherefore God also hath
highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth;
Colo 1:20 And, having made peace
through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Ephe 1:10 That in the dispensation
of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
At the fullness of times
- When God thinks sufficient
time has been given to earth and mankind to see all choose to serve Him
or not serve Him, this gathering will occur.
- We need to be serious
about being one of those jewels.
- We need to see what makes
us one of those jewels.
WE ARE THE JEWELS
Exod 19:5 Now therefore, if ye
will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure
unto me
above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Deut 7:6 For thou art an holy
people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto
himself,
above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
Isai 62:3-4 Thou shall also be a
crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of
thy God. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any
more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah "my delight
is in her", and thy land Beulah "married wife": for the LORD delighteth in
thee, and thy land shall be married.
So we see that those who love
God's word will be those jewels.
The rest will be burned away as chaff and the jewels will remain.
- This morning we mentioned
that there will be a shaking and all will be shaken that can be shaken.
- Only those in the Kingdom
which cannot be removed will remain standing.
- In Exodus, God told the
Israelites to SPOIL the Egyptians.
- They spoiled the gold
and silver and jewels.
- And later in the story
we read where they melted these things down and made golden plating for the
Tabernacle.
- They made the ark of the
covenant and covered it with this gold.
- Silver spoons were made
for the sacrifices.
In Col. 2, we read where God
spoiled us from the devil.
Colo 2:13 And you, being dead
in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together
with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Colo 2:15 And having spoiled principalities
and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
WE are the jewels HE SPOILED
- And we were taken and
lovingly placed within the TABERNACLE, or the BODY OF CHRIST, the CHURCH
- He forgives us and steals
us from the devil and makes us His temple.
One day He will come to take
His jewels home
- He will gather together
his jewels.
In Col., Paul said that the
saints who are in God's hands were SPOILED from the enemy.
The devil looks at us like his house.
- But God looks at us like
HIS TEMPLE!!!
THE TIME OF GATHERING WILL
REVEAL MANY THINGS
2The 2:1-3 Now we beseech you,
brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together
unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ
is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition;
- The day of CHRIST is when
He is all in all.
- When we are gathered to
Christ, there will first come a falling away.
- The wicked will be revealed.
- The man of sin will be
revealed.
- Right now he is hidden...
he is not exposed.
- That is why Paul said
do not let anyone deceive you.
- He is out there.
- The man of sin.
- He is hidden and deceives.
- If he was revealed he
could not deceive for all would know what he is up to.
2The 2:6-7 And now ye know what
withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only
he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
- IT IS A MYSTERY OF INIQUITY
because it is hidden.
- He hides.
- He exalts himself above
God.
- He is a spirit.
- But his day is coming.
- But when the time is right
for God to shake all things, then he shall be revealed.
2The 2:8-10 And then shall that
Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth,
and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming
is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Presently he is hidden and works
with all deceivableness.
- And here we see what Paul
wants us to know.
- Here we see how to be
a jewel of God and not a follower of this sin.
- We must LOVE THE TRUTH.
- Those who do not really
love truth will be attracted to this man of sin like a magnet.
- And when that day of gathering
comes, THE wicked will be revealed.
- Malachi said when God
gathers His jewels, THEN shall you discern the righteous form the wicked.
Jesus said IDENTICAL WORDS
Matt 7:21-23 Not every one that saith
unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that
day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have
cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will
I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
- Jesus is the WORD made
flesh - way, truth, life.
- We must love the TRUTH
- KNOW JESUS.
- KNOW means LOVE.
- And he said the ones who
DO THESE SAYINGS OF MINE will be like wise men who built a house on a rock.
- The winds cannot blow
it down.
- The day of falling away
shows the fool's house fall while the wise house stood.
- The jewels withstand the
fire, while the stubble burns away.
- Over and again this same
picture is seen.
Reve 14:1 And I looked, and, lo,
a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand,
having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
Reve 14:8 And there followed another
angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she
made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
We must love the truth.
We must DO something about our
faith.
- Jesus said those who DO
these sayings of mine.
- We are being made into
jewels.
- If we love Jesus enoygh,
we will obey Him when He said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall
be saved".
- If we love Jesus enough,
we will obey His ordained apostles, like Peter, who said, "Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission
of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38).
- We will love Him more
than we are concerned that friends mock us.
- We will love Him more
than this world.
We cannot make ourselves love,
but we can ask God to GIVE US THIS LOVE.
- We need to have that love.
But another revelation will
appear!!
- Not only will the wicked
be revealed, but Malachi said that at the time of gathering the righteous
will be revealed.
- The jewels will have been
refined and completed.
THE BRIDE REVEALED
Reve 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven
and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming
down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of
God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
John saw a new heaven and a
new earth.
- Christ's Bride is going
to have a new home like no othe rgroom ever made for His bride to be!
- It will be showcased in
a new heaven and a new earth.
- And John saw the BRIDE
IN GLORY descend.
- And a voice said this
is the Tabernacle of God.
- The JEWELS spoiled from
the Egyptians formed the Tabernacle.
- We are the Tabernacle.
- Together, all of the jewels
comprise the CITY and the TABERNACLE.
- God cleans us out of the
worst sins and makes us sparkling jewels.
- John never saw anything
so beautiful.
Reve 21:18-21 And the building of
the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear
glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all
manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire;
the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the
sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a
topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth,
an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate
was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent
glass.
I wonder which part I will be
in, in the City!
- Where will you be?
- We will all comprise the
Bride, but we will be a jewel in it.
After John saw the jewels togther
and gathered, we read:
Reve 22:20 He which testifieth
these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Why did you ask Jesus to come,
John?
"Because I saw the beautiful
CITY , the CHURCH, in all her glory. I saw all the jewels gathered. I want Him to come and
gather His jewels!!!!"
If you want to be one of theose
jewels, you must do as Jesus said: Hear His words and then DO THEM. Obey
:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
