Leviticus 25:8-10
KJV And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee,
seven
times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall
be unto thee forty and nine years. (9) Then shalt thou
cause the
trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month,
in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all
your land. (10) And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and
proclaim
liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it
shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his
possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
Leviticus 25:23-28 KJV The land shall not be sold for ever: for
the
land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
(24) And
in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the
land. (25) If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away
some of
his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he
redeem that which his brother sold. (26) And if the man
have none to
redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it; (27) Then let
him count
the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to
whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
(28) But if
he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall
remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile:
and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his
possession.
Leviticus 25:35-44 KJV And if thy brother be waxen poor, and
fallen in
decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a
stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee. (36)
Take thou
no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may
live with thee. (37) Thou shalt not give him thy money upon
usury,
nor lend him thy victuals for increase. (38) I am the LORD
your God,
which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land
of Canaan, and to be your God. (39) And if thy brother that
dwelleth
by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him
to serve as a bondservant: (40) But as an hired servant,
and as a
sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of
jubile: (41) And then shall he depart from thee, both he
and his
children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the
possession of his fathers shall he return. (42) For they
are my
servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall
not be sold as bondmen. (43) Thou shalt not rule over him
with
rigour; but shalt fear thy God. (44) Both thy bondmen, and
thy
bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are
round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
LAND SHALL NOT BE SOLD FOREVER and PEOPLE SHALL NOT BE SOLD AS BONDMEN.
The word JUBILEE actually is the English TRANSLITERATION of YOBEL in
Hebrew.
· YOBEL is what the Jews called the SOUND A
TRUMPET MAKES.
Lands and people returned to their original state that God provided
when he took Israel out of Egypt.
They could not sell the land of Canaan since it was really GOD’S
LAND, and not theirs (Lev 25:23).
· God does not give you blessings only to see
you lose them, either.
· If poverty came and you had to sell land,
the buyer understood it goes back to you if you could BUY IT BACK
– redeem it – OR it goes back to you FREE WITHOUT CHARGE at
year of JUBILEE.
· Same went with people who were sold, so
buyer not look at his brother as a slave.
· PEOPLE COULD NOT BE RULED OVER WITH VIGOUR
as Egyptians ruled them.
This message is meant to minister to YOU PEOPLE HERE TODAY.
· You can claim JUBILEE if people took your
land or your lives, spiritually, and made you serve with RIGOUR like
Egyptians slaves.
· KINGDOM means we do not rule over each other.
· Brothers can only be regarded as hired
servants, and never slaves.
Leviticus 25:39-42 BBE And if your brother becomes poor and gives
himself to you for money, do not make use of him like a servant who is
your property; (40) But let him be with you as a servant
working for payment, till the year of Jubilee; (41) Then he
will go out from you, he and his children with him, and go back to his
family and to the property of his fathers. (42) For they
are my servants whom I took out from the land of Egypt; they may not
become the property of another.
Jesus spoke of this spiritually in the first message he preached.
Luke 4:14-21 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit
into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region
round about. (15) And he taught in their synagogues, being
glorified of all. (16) And he came to Nazareth, where he
had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue
on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (17) And
there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when
he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
(18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the acceptable year of the
Lord. (20) And he closed the book, and he gave it
again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were
in the synagogue were fastened on him. (21) And he began to
say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD IS THE YEAR OF JUBILEE.
The POOR get good news of gospel.
· Adam sold us out, and we return to HOME IN
KINGDOM POWER.
· DELIVERANCE always be big in KINGDOM because
Jesus said casting out devils by finger of God means KINGDOM IS COME.
· DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES.
A trumpet here is SHOPHAR.
· Ram’s horn.
· Taken from RAM.
· Jesus had SEVEN horns on Him as a LAMB.
· SEVEN SHOPHARS.
· Blasting the shophar announced JUBILEE.
· WE PREACH JUBILE THROUGH THE DEATH OF JESUS.
· shofarot (plural of shofar)
TRUMPETS represent REVELATION:
Isaiah 58:1 KJV Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a
trumpet, and shew my people …
Hebrews say that because Abraham raised the knife to slay his son only
to have God stay his hand and bring his attention to a ram caught in a
nearby thicket, where Abraham sacrificed the ram instead, whenever the
shofar is blown God will remember Abraham’s willingness to
sacrifice his son and will therefore forgive those who hear the
shofar’s blasts. In this way, just as the shofar blasts remind us
to turn our hearts towards repentance at feast of trumpets and day of
atonement, they also remind God to forgive us for our trespasses.
Jesus was foreshadowed by Isaac ready to be slain.
· So translate that into Christianity and see
that shofar blast reminds God of the cross when Son was sacrificed, so
people will be forgiven as they turn to him in repentance.
The breath used to blow the shofar is thought to be related to the
BREATH OF LIFE God breathed into ADAM.
The person who blows the shofar is called a Tokea (which literally
means “blaster”)
· (I am a trumpet player)
· Pastoring BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH.
So Jubilee is after 7 Sabbath years.
· Sabbath year was REST TO THE LAND, while
Sabbath DAY was rest to MAN.
Leviticus 25:4 MSG But the seventh year the land will take a
Sabbath of complete and total rest, a Sabbath to GOD; you will not sow
your fields or prune your vineyards.
So every seven years was a Sabbath year.
· Take seven Sabbath years – 7 x 7
· The 49th year is a Sabbath.
· And the FIFTIETH is the JUBILEE.
Leviticus 25:11-12 MSG The fiftieth year is your Jubilee year:
Don't sow; don't reap what volunteers itself in the fields; don't
harvest the untended vines (12) because it's the Jubilee
and a holy year for you. You're permitted to eat from whatever
volunteers itself in the fields.
Same restriction as on the 49th year.
So the 50th was a Sabbath as well as the 49th.
DOUBLE PORTION!
What is interesting is that 50th is exactly what PENTECOST means in
Greek.
· So you could say DAY OF PENTECOST is a
JUBILEE DAY after Passover.
· 50 days after the second night of Passover.
The 49 days in between are known as the Omer.
The day of Pentecost was certainly a LIBERATING!
120 0n the day of Pentecost filled with the Spirit.
Revelation 5:6-10 KJV And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the
throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a
Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are
the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (7)
And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat
upon the throne. (8) And when he had taken the book, the
four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb,
having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which
are the prayers of saints. (9) And they sung a new song,
saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals
thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
(10) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we
shall reign on the earth.
Jubilee is a redemption!
So if there is a SABBATH DAY AND SABBATH YEAR,
· Then a DAY OF PENTECOST (50th day) would
indicate a YEAR OF PENTECOST.
· The year of Jubilee is the 50th year, and
corresponds to the YEAR OF PENTECOST!
· On this day 120 people were filled with the
Spirit.
2 Chronicles 5:7 KJV And the priests brought in the ark of the
covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into
the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
2 Chronicles 5:12-14 KJV (12) Also the Levites which were
the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their
sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals
and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with
them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
(13) It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as
one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD;
and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and
instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a
cloud, even the house of the LORD; (14) So that the priests
could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of
the LORD had filled the house of God.
Look how this corresponds to Acts 2:
Acts 2:1-4 KJV And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they
were all with one accord in one place. (2) And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled all the house where they were sitting. (3) And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each
of them. (4) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,
and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
Acts 1:15 KJV And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of
the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an
hundred and twenty,)
Peter said this occurred because Jesus went to the THRONE OF GLORY.
Acts 2:32-33 KJV This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all
are witnesses. (33) Therefore being by the right hand of
God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy
Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Like the Ark put into the Holiest, Jesus went to the throne and SHED
FORTH the Holy Spirit, and 120 spoke in tongues as 120 trumpets blew in
Solomon’s temple.
ABRAHAM CAME 2000 YEARS AFTER ADAM.
· 50 years is a jubilee.
· 40 x 50 = 2000
· 40 jubilees!
So the 40th jubilee was special!
But it is wonderful to learn that the 50th JUBILEE --- 2,500 years
after Adam – was when EXODUS OCCURRED!
If 50th means jubilee, and we have 50 jubilees (50 x 50), then THAT IS
A JUBILEE OF JUBILEES!
And talk about REDEMPTION!
· Talk about returning to original position.
· ISRAEL WAS LEAVING EGYPT TO RETURN TO CANAAN
THAT GOD GAVE TO ABRAHAM, AFTER HAVING BEEN SOLD AS SLAVES.
· 50 jubilees from Adam.
· SLAVES AND LAND!
· Exactly what jubilee is about!
And PENTECOST in Jewish tradition was fifty days after they left Egypt
when Moses got the TEN COMMANDMENTS ON MOUNT SINAI!
3000 died that day due to praising the golden calf, but 3000 saved on
day of Pentecost in NT!
3000 years after Adam was when SOLOMON BUILT TEMPLE.
· 60 jubilees!
1 Kings 8:10-11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come
out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the
LORD, (11) So that the priests could not stand to minister
because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of
the LORD.
Exodus was actually fully realized that year because God wanted them in
the land to have a TEMPLE, and God would not let temple be built until
all enemies were defeated.
No war existed in Solomon's day!
1 Chronicles 28:3-6 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not
build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and
hast shed blood. (4) Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose
me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever:
for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah,
the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to
make me king over all Israel: (5) And of all my sons, (for
the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit
upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. (6)
And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my
courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
500 more years is RELEASE FROM BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY.
· 70 jubilees!
· God’s people fell terribly and
religious sin occurred.
Dan 9: (25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going
forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the
Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous
times. (26) And after threescore and two weeks shall
Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince
that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end
thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations
are determined. (27) And he shall confirm the covenant with
many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the
sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of
abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation,
and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Daniel was told 483 years (69 weeks) to Christ, after which he
preaches, add 3.5 years and dies on the cross, and 3.5 years is 70
weeks... 490 years.
Now, the book of Acts covers 33 years.
So we have 3.5 years following His death and resurrection, add another
ten years which brings it to 500 years after Babylonian captivity, and
we get 1/3 through the book of Acts (13 years).
· This gives us the 80th JUBILEE.
How many years has it been from THAT TIME TO OUR DAY in 2011?
2000 years.
2000 is 40 JUBILEES! (40 x 50)
If Jesus died and then the book of ACTS occurred with the 80th jubilee,
add 40 Jubilees and we get the 120th JUBILEE!
120!
· The very number of people on the day of
Pentecost – (50th).
· The number of priests when Solomon’s
temple was built marking the 60th jubilee.
· Another 60 jubilees (120) and we have the
year 2000!
· THREE SETS OF 40!!! = 120
THE FIRST 40 jubilees took the world to EXODUS FROM EGYPT.
The next 40 took it to the BOOK OF ACTS.
And the third 40 started about 11 years ago!!
Year 2000.
· It pulls Day of Pentecost, Acts 2, UNITY and
ONE ACCORD ….and…
THE BLOWER OF THE SHOFAR WAS SAID TO GIVE THE AIR TO MAKE THE SOUND
LIKE THE BREATH OF LIFE GOD GAVE TO ADAM!
Moses spent 40 days on Sinai getting ten commandments.
· They worshiped the gold calf and he fasted
40 more days for God to forgive them, then went on Sinai again
for forty more days.
· The people then ratified the covenant.
Moses lived 120 years.
· 40 in Egypt.
· 40 in wilderness til came to burning bush.
· 40 more leading Israel to Canaan.
God gave 120 years after saw wickedness of man til flood.
Saul, David and Solomon each reigned 40 years, bringing us to 120 years.
Saul king of flesh.
David godly but man of war.
Solomon golden age.
40 is proving time.
40 X 3 is DIVINELY
DIVINELY APPOINTED TIME OF PROBATION – waiting – PERIOD
ENDED.
· Probations are one thing, everyone has a 40
to deal with.
· It’s like forty years of marriage
means you proved your marriage.
· But divinely appointed time means a SPECIAL
TIME FOR GOD TO TEST.
When applied to people it is like divinely appointed number of people
during time of WAITING.
Prove out JUBILEE!
· Should now live in true jubilee.
· It’s been proven!
· Could it be that God proved out the world
for 120 jubilees and now is time for greatness?
Emphasis is also on breath of life.
· 120 trumpets.
· 120 on day of Pentecost.
· TRUMPETS indicate REVELATION.
· Revelation of BREATH OF LIFE.
One accord… people proved selves.
· Unity!
· Power of God can move.
· Testing time ended.
Proved out JUBILEES in general.
· TESTED US FOR true restoration truth!
· KINGDOM REDEMPTION.
· KINGDOM RETURN!
· No wonder KINGDOM truth is being presented
so powerfully in these years!
· It was around the year 2000 that I
personally saw biblical prophecy from a KINGDOM perspective.
