Exodus 14:30-31 KJV Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. (31) And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses. Exodus 15:22-27 KJV So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. (23) And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. (24) And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? (25) And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, (26) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (27) And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters. Psalms 103:7 KJV He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The journey of Israel out of Egypt began the day the lamb was slain.
Thank God for the death of Christ THE FIRST DAY when He was crucified.
2 Corinthians 5:14 KJV For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: The FIRST DAY represents all God did in getting us OUT.
Exodus 13:20 KJV And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. They went to the SECOND DAY when they encamped. During the second day we read: Exodus 14:31-15:1 KJV And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses. (15:1) Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. There is a joy and there is a revelation we experience in the SECOND DAY.
Isaiah 53:12-54:1 KJV Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (54:1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. Same with the great Isa 53 chapter of Christ's death.
I thank God for all the SINGING -- in other words, ANY REJOICING TESTIMONY -- that tells us about how God delivered someone from Egypt.
And although it seems Israel went a full three more days, after this second day at the Red Sea, the idea of THE THIRD DAY again rises. We all know the third day was when Jesus Christ resurrected from the grave.
Exodus 15:22 KJV So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. THIRD DAY was when Jesus resurrected. And there is cause for a GREATER AND MORE ADVANCED FORM OF REJOICING at this third day.
There is rejoicing for coming OUT OF, but there is rejoicing FOR COMING INTO. Deuteronomy 6:23 KJV And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. He saves you OUT OF ALCOHOL, so he can bring you INTO SOMETHING ELSE.
MOSES LED THEM FROM THE RED SEA where they rejoiced over what they came out of.
God took us out of the devil's kingdom when he saved us.
EGYPT IS STILL IN BELIEVER'S MINDS. And HE BROUGHT US OUT OF TO BRING US INTO.
As Moses took Israel past the Red Sea and it's rejoicing, God leads us further than just getting delivered from alcohol or gambling.
They came upon BITTER WATER.
RED SEA: Exodus 14:11 KJV And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? AFTER RED SEA: Exodus 15:23-24 KJV And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. (24) And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? THEY STILL MURMURED. You can get delivered from drugs, BUT DO YOU STILL COMPLAIN in bad situations?
THE FIRST DAY is the lamb's blood. The second DAY is the RED SEA of water baptism. BUT THIS THIRD DAY IS RESURRECTION. YOU SAW WHAT GOD DID TO THE DEVIL and your liquor and your drugs and adultery the first and second day.
Exodus 15:25 KJV And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, THE LORD SHOWED HIM A TREE. THE CROSS. You would think the cross was the first thing you saw.
Psalms 103:7 KJV He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. Notice MOSES was shown the TREE.
Exodus 15:24-25 KJV And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? (25) And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, While people complained to MAN, Moses CRIED TO GOD!
People only saw what GOD DID. Exodus 14:31 KJV And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses. And they rejoiced. BUT IMAGINE WHAT DEEPER JOY AND DEEPER GLORY THERE IS IN KNOWING HIS WAYS. While People saw what GOD DID, God showed Moses a TREE.
The rod and the tree always speaks of Christ and the cross. SEEING THE CROSS MEANS UNDERSTANDING GOD'S WAYS.
Take the cross and put it into your situation.
THE WAY God dealt with sin is the WAY you also deal with DEEPER THINGS. And this is the first thing God says to Israel after He spoke to Moses to use his rod and close the red Sea over the enemy.
His ACTS were destroying the enemy.
Most only know the cross for saving from sin.
He brought out out from Egypt to Bring us into the promised land.
Many are God's people and part of His kingdom, BUT DO NOT ENJOY THE KINGDOM.
God spoke about HEALINGS and diseases.
You are God's child, but do you act like God is not your Father, the way sinners can only act, by complaining in doubt to man instead of crying to God in faith for help? God spoke of EXPERIENCING MORE in these words. OBEY AND DO GOD'S WAYS.
Deuteronomy 12:8-9 KJV Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. (9) For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you. The reason believers are not EXPERIENCING JOY is because they do not know God's ways, and if they know them, they do not live them.
GET A REVELATION OF THE TREE! SELF DENIAL is involved. Matthew 10:39 KJV He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 16:24 KJV Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:25 KJV For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Showing Moses a TREE corresponds to DOING GOD'S WORD AND NOT YOUR OWN.
Third day is walking in newness of life. Romans 6:3-5 KJV Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Likeness of his resurrection is not speaking about our bodies rising one day, although that will occur.
IT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE FIRST DAY. He brought us out to bring us in... is like saying: We died with Him that we might LIVE WITH HIM. AFTER READING ABOUT HIS DEATH WE READ ABOUT OUR LIVING 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 KJV For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Most are stuck at the Red Sea rejoicing.
We hear rejoicing over freedom from liquor. BUT WHAT ABOUT REJOICING OVER BEING SET FREE FROM SHARP TONGUE, OR BAD ATTITUDE OR EASILY BEING MADE ANGRY? GOD WILL HEAL YOU... a BLESSED LIFE.
On either side of Jesus in the TOMB was a death beforehand and a resurrection afterwards.
Its the difference between the bear released from the cage and walking only around in the same area the cage formerly allowed, versus the bear released and running free in all the countryside! Some believers REACT the same way they did as sinners.
They walk in the same AREA of bad temper and attitude, only they are not in a cage now.
We can all enjoy healing and benefits of joy and so on.
Judges 17:6 KJV In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. When we are doing what we want to do, despite God's ways, then God is not our King. OUR POSITION: Ephesians 2:5-6 KJV Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: NOW ACT LIKE IT: Ephesians 4:1 KJV I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, GOD SAID ... You will change when you SEE THE TREE.
