PREMILLENNIALISM AND THE DOUBLE IMAGE ERROR

Premillennial Scheme

At the Second Coming of Christ

At the End of the Millennium

(1) Resurrection.

(2) Judgment of wicked.

(3) Judgment of Satan.

(4) Entrance into 1000 year Kingdom.

(1) Resurrection.

(2) Judgment of wicked.

(3) Judgment of Satan.

(4) Entrance into the eternal kingdom.

Is it not interesting that the same four elements are noted as occurring before the Millennium and after the Millennium in premillennialistic teaching?  I propose that premillennialists' error is in confusing one age to actually be two different ages.  And the source of their error of reasoning is found in their inability to see the spiritual use of metaphors and old testament pictures in the Book of Revelation as being descriptive of the church age.  Instead of seeing how Revelation has taken pictures from the Old Testament and applied them spiritually to the church age, futurists have ignored those original sources in the Old Testament and proclaim that these pictures are literal events in the future!  They have to be in the future if one looks at them literally, because no such literal things ever occurred yet.  However, if one sees the spiritual symbolism of the church age in these pictures, one clearly sees it is not a futuristic "movie" that we find in Revelation's visions.
