DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS
THAN BREAD AND WINE

Matthew 26:26-28  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

John 6:51-56  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

John 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Last week we spoke about the life-changing effect that Melchisedek had upon Abram in Genesis 14. Abram was suddenly changed and God gave Him resurrection life.
Genesis 15:4-6  And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
This faith he had in God's promise is explained in the following:
Romans 4:19  And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
Abram's faith was in a God who would rejuvenate his dead body… dead as far as reproduction is concerned. And not only did Abram receive life from death, but from that day onward he searched for a city .
Hebrews 11:10  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
Melechisedek came from SALEM. The bread and wine experience with Melchisedek was a turning point in Abram's life. Jesus spoke of bread and wine. He was going to die after He gave them these two things in His last supper. And we know what happened after that death. It's absolutely wonderful to note that the bread and wine of the dying of Jesus occurred before the resurrection occurred! With Abram it was the same thing. People, God wants you to REPRODUCE!

John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus was going to die and then resurrect in order for Him to go to the Father. We would reproduce His works. Jesus is called a High Priest. Its not so much miracles, but its miraculous.

The bread and wine speaks of Jesus' body broken for us and His blood shed for us.

Its the preaching that He died FOR US - AS US. Jesus said His death would draw all men to Himself. We will lack nothing.
Psalm 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Colossians 2:9-10  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

How can we lack anything if we are complete in Him? Anybody who feels worthless is never going to feel worthless again if they believe in Jesus' death as them, and receive the bread and the wine. When you get saved, you become one with the greatest being! Paul came with bread and wine!
1 Corinthians 1:23-25  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1 Corinthians 1:30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Look at what God has given us through Christ!
