"WHEN THE SAP FLOWS, FRUIT GROWS"

Matt 21:33-41  Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. And they caught him, and cast [him] out of the vineyard, and slew [him]. When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out [his] vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

God is looking for a harvest of fruit.

Phil 1:9-11  And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

He is coming for fruits of righteousness that bring praise to His glory.

Mica 6:6-7  Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, [and] bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, [or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn [for] my transgression, the fruit of my body [for] the sin of my soul?

Israel asked the question  of how to approach God.

We get a hint of the answer when we read this:

Hebr 10:4-6  For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

No, Israel, sacrifices and works and more good works will not give God pleasure.

Matt 3:16-17  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The Son of God was the only thing that would please God.

And if all the hundreds of years of sacrifices did not please Him during the Old Testament, how mush less do our good deeds please Him so much so that they make a way for us to come to God?

Ephe 1:6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

The only way we can be acceptable to God is by somehow getting into Christ.

When we are in Jesus Christ, all the love the Father had for Him is for us!

John 17:25-26   O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

To think that the love the Father had to Jesus would be in us, after thousands of years of sacrificing could never please God enough!!!

That is why I preach baptism in Jesus Name so powerfully and forcefully.

A body is what pleased God. 1Cor 12:27  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Being in the church can never be accomplished by joining a congregation.

Jesus said that there was a temple tax instituted upon all of Israel, and asked Peter a question:

Matt 17:24-27  And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

The temple tax was compared to taxes put on the populace by a king.

2Cor 5:17  Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You get into Him by being born again.

But once you are in Him, you must not slow down the flow of His life in you.

Here is what we spoke about this morning.

The branch is you and the vine is Jesus.

We need to clear out all the false notions from our heads with the word. Want to know what work we have to do in order to please God?

John 6:27-29  Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

BELIEVE ON CHRIST.

I truly believe the church is coming into greater revelation about this truth than ever before. John 8:31-32  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Its not just that the word will be made known to us and make us free.

Some family members on my wife's side died of cholesterol. We need to know the truth that only being in Christ keeps us blameless.

Colo 1:21-23  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

We will be blameless when we meet God at the judgment if we CONTINUE IN THE FAITH.

Don't worry about good works. John 15:4-5  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

So if I can do nothing by way of making fruit, and without Him I am empty, then forget about producing fruit.

We need to get a revelation that simply staying connected to the vine causes the fruit to grow.
