The New Beginning And a Need for Kingdom Judgment

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful,
and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every
living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing
seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the
which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the
air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is
life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Gen 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every
beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that
moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered.
Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
Gen 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Gen 9:5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the
hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the
hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
Gen 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Gen 9:7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
Gen 9:8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
Gen 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
In the words to both Adam and Noah, we find additions to those spoken to Noah that did not appear to Adam.
- Both men were heads of the human race.
- But Noah was in a NEW BEGINNING.
- Sin was still present in the world in Noah's day when it was not when God gave similar words to Adam.
- And the words to Noah that were not given to Adam involve the
idea of the Kingdom in way that deals with the powers and presence of
sin in the world, when Adam's world did not yet have sin.
- So, the idea is that if God was going to form a new beginning and
start afresh with man, then sin had to be considered and covered in the
new system of mankind's dominion.
The Kingdom of God and Heaven today is foreshadowed by the new beginning in Noah's day.
- And it, too, deals with the presence of sin in the world that did not exist before Adam fell.
- There are many parallels between Adam's and Noah's instructions as we have shown before.
- And both of them show thee picture of the Kingdom of Heaven today in the church.
- But the words of Noah that involved the presence of sin speak
forth more insight and understanding to the things the church was told
in the New Testament.
Remember, that everything in the Old Testament is a shadow of the New
and helps us understand better the things that are taught in the new
like object lessons.
Adam's day involved TWO TREES that showed the difference between either LIFE or DEATH.
- The tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
- Mankind was only to eat vegetation, so that has something to do
with the fact that the two elements that contrasted life from death
were FRUIT TREES.
- But Noah's day involved SIN's presence in the world, and TWO MEATS were contrasted.
- One allowed for food and was meat shed of its blood.
- The other forbidden meat was meat without its blood shed.
Then, after God mentioned the allowable meat and the forbidden meat, He
spoke to Noah about shedding blood, after having made mention of the
blood shed for food.
- Speaking of shed blood, if man's blood be shed then because man
was the image of God, different from an animal, the life and blood of
the one guilty must be shed in return to form a balance.
- Whether it is a beast that sheds man's blood in death or another man.
- At the hand of every beast and every man must man shed its blood.
For the first time God put the responsibility for the justice of a man's murder upon the shoulders of another man!
- It was not like that in Adam's day.
Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass,
when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his
brother, and slew him.
Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Gen 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
Gen 4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield
unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the
earth.
Gen 4:13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
Gen 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of
the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive
and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one
that findeth me shall slay me.
Gen 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth
Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a
mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
God would not allow any MAN to avenge Abel's death by killing Cain.
- God Himself was the one to deal justice to Cain, not another man.
But all of that changed in the NEW BEGINNING in Noah's day.
Gen 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
But it is not vengeance.
It's as though man should be killed because man is God's image, and
also man would shed the murdering man's blood because man is God's
image.
- Whereas God enacted justice for murder, now man acts in God's image and enacts justice for murder.
- And this would involve a whole complex and elaborate system to be set up in the world.
- Man would have to set up a civil government in order to have
someone decide that murder must be accounted for, and demand submission
of the murderer to the sentence of death.
- People who have an order of government where levels of authority are established.
- One would be head and leader to make the final decision.
- Witness would be present to prove the case.
- Others would help the leader carry out the order for execution.
All of that is implied in the few short words saying that man shall shed the blood of the guilty murderer of another man.
Balance is the key.
- The greatest degree of sin against another is murder, so the greatest punishment would be taking that one's life in return.
So, a KINGDOM government would be set up.
So, now we have not only two kinds of meat contrasted for man's food --
meat shed of its blood and blood not shed from meat, we have two kinds
of shedding that cause life or cause death.
- Shedding animal blood provides LIFE in the form of food for the person.
- Shedding man's blood causes death of the one shedding it.
- Like the two trees - life or death.
But everything is snow much more complicated in the new beginning.
Man had to enforce a law that God established about murder.
- God would not do it Himself as He did beforehand.
It is noteworthy that when meat is introduced to man for food, man is
authorized as the agency of God to carry out punishment for murder.
- When vegetation was provided alone for food, God was the one to carry out the punishment for Cain's act of murder.
- God did not tell Noah who the leader of the new government must
be to enforce this law, so we understand that God gave man the
responsibility to also decide upon that!
Man ruled over creation before the fall, but now man rules in a degree over other men!
- This meant that man can demand obedience from other men to a
certain degree and truly makes man the image of God for one of us to be
able to do that.
- All of this arose as an issue because God allowed eating of meat and shedding of blood.
As soon as shedding of blood is mentioned, God spoke of the shedding of man's blood and life required for life of man.
- Shedding blood here immediately brings to mind the concept of sacrifices.
- Sacrifices involved shedding animal blood.
- This is a more of a spiritual form of obtaining food from shedding animal blood.
- God demanded the sacrifice stand in the place of the one offering
it, as though the animal's blood stands for the life of the person
offering it being given to God.
Lev 1:3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him
offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary
will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
Lev 1:4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt
offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
That animals life is accepted by God in the place of the person so atonement can be made for that person.
- It's like that person's life was offered to God.
But this idea really comes to the forefront when we consider the idea
that man's blood being shed demands the blood of the murderer to be
shed.
- Jesus died and had his blood shed for our salvation in sacrifice.
- All the world was guilty of that murder because all of us sinned.
- Jesus died because of our sins.
- So, in one sense, all of us guilty murderers of Jesus paid the death penalty.
- Shedding man's blood demands man to shed our blood.
- So, when Jesus died OUR BLOOD WAS SHED in one sense.
- We died!
- That is how God saw it!
Animal sacrifice could only foreshadow that.
- Perhaps this is why Noah's life was not required at the eating of animals with its blood not shed.
- All fruit was good for food to Adam except fruit with desire to make one wise in it.
All meat was a allowed to Noah except meat with blood in it.
- But Noah would not die due to eating meat with blood as Adam would die by eating fruit with the desire to make him wise in it.
- But NOAH WOULD DIE if he shed MAN'S BLOOD.
Our lives are just as good as slain because Jesus blood was shed due to our sins.
The issue of bloodshed brought on the need for God to have man set up a government to deal with bloodshed of mankind.
- So, the NEW BEGINNING period involved KINGDOM that can deal with sin.
The greater new beginning was JESUS CHRIST AND THE NEW COVENANT.
- He is the new head of the creation.
- He has dominion.
- He is not going to have dominion any more than Adam was going to have dominion two thousand years after God created HIm.
- Jesus has dominion now.
- This age BEGINS with his kingship.
- It does not end with it like modern dispensationalism teaches.
As God would not step in and personally deal with crime and sin once
Noah's new beginning started, H is not going to step in and bring
judgement against evil today.
- He does so in extreme cases, as He did with Sodom and Gomorrah, and the tower of Babel, after Noah's day.
- But we are meant to deal with sin and evil in this kingdom.
- We are meant to take the initiative and judge devils and demons and evil when they rise up.
- We deal with spiritual darkness.
This is the reason so many believers are defeated.
- They do nothing and expect God to step in when the devil attacks,
when He instituted a Kingdom where MAN enacts judgment in evil.
- You SPEAK UP AND COMMAND the devil back off.
- YOU cast the devil out of your home and lives.
God almost exterminated mankind in general at the flood.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the
earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
But Noah found grace in his eyes and was spared.
So in sparing man, a government would have to be set up to ensure evil not take over.
- Same today.
- A new beginning has occurred and God did not exterminate man.
- So a KINGDOM is set up where WE TAKE ACTION and RESPONSIBILITY to go after sin and evil.
- We do not stand there and let the devil take over the world.
- The nonsense of dispensationalism teaches that evil is going to
occur anyway according to prophecy, so let it take over, is rampant
amongst believers.
- It is error.
- When we know Revelation is mostly fulfilled, and there is the KINGDOM TODAY,
- then we do not let sin take over, but enforce God's word against
the devil and personally deal with this one who was murderer from the
beginning.
So take your place and judge demons and sin.
This kingdom is all based upon the shedding of blood, like Noah's new beginning was.
- Because of Jesus' shed blood, we are in a Kingdom in which we enact God's work against evil.
- We do not fight flesh and blood, but SPIRITUAL DARKNESS.
A rainbow betokened this truth of not destroying man again.
- A rainbow is seen in Revelation as well.
Rev 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine
stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like
unto an emerald.
Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the
four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had
been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven
Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Rev 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and
twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them
harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take
the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast
redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and
people, and nation;
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
We are kings and priests because of HIS BLOOD.
- Bloodshed required a rainbow covenant where God would not destroy
man, and instead man would enact governing power over others to curb
evil.
- Bloodshed and a rainbow were involved with the NEW BEGINNING of
this spiritual KINGDOM where WE ARE KINGS AND PRIESTS to deal with sin.
- So be kings and priests and go after the devil and his evil.
- Pray against satan's powers.
- Command him to let go and leave.
No such mention of justice against sin was given to Adam since no sin existed then.
- But it did in Noah's day and it does in ours.
- With sin in effect we rule as God's agency.
- We determine how a situation stands in contrast to God's ways.
- We deal with it!
- Man has been given authority now!
