The Importance of Being Conscious of the Throne
October 20, 2013
Num 17:1 And the LORD spake unto
Moses, saying,
Num 17:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of
them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their
princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou
every man's name upon his rod.
Num 17:3 And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for
one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
Num 17:4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the
congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
Num 17:5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall
choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings
of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
Num 17:6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one
of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according
to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was
among their rods.
Num 17:7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the
tabernacle of witness.
Num 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the
tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of
Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and
yielded almonds.
Num 17:9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD
unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man
his rod.
Num 17:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again
before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and
thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
The almond rod was placed before the ark in the most holy place to
decide which tribe would be priests.
- The Levite's rod owned by Aaron budded and blossomed and bore
fruit.
- THE SAME PICTURE OF CHRIST buried in a tomb in a garden
represents the laying of the dead almond rod in the Holiest of all.
- Like the olive branch, Jesus resurrected with supernatural life.
- Life more abundantly because the life He arose with was like life
that provided buds, blossoms ad fruit all at the same time.
Exo 25:31 And thou shalt make a
candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made:
his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers,
shall be of the same.
Exo 25:32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three
branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of
the candlestick out of the other side:
Exo 25:33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a
flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other
branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out
of the candlestick.
The dead rod of Aaron represents the death of Jesus Christ who the
bible calls THE BRANCH as we shall see later.
When the rod was placed in the holiest before The Lord, that meant it
was pass the veil in the tabernacle before the Ark of the Covenant.
Before the LORD means BEFORE THE ARK.
And the veil that blocked entrance to the holiest had cherubims on it
just like Cherubims blocked the Garden entrance in Genesis 3 after man
sinned.
So with the veil with cherubim blocking the most holy place and
cherubim blocking the Garden entrance, we see the Most Holy Place
stands for the GARDEN OF EDEN.
The Ark is the throne of dominion
representing the dominion Adam had over the earth while in the Garden.
Jesus was in a tomb where after his resurrection two angels sat on the
bier with one at the head and the other at the foot, like cherubims on
the mercyseat.
John 20:12 And seeth two angels in
white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where
the body of Jesus had lain.
Mary thought Jesus was the Gardener.
- All these details point us to the Garden of Eden where man was
intended to rule the world.
But priesthood is involved in this picture of ruling!
- Jesus would be priest upon the throne.
Zec 6:13 Even he shall build the
temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule
upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the
counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We
have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of
the Majesty in the heavens;
The model on earth was his place of death as well.
A link exists between his place of death and the throne in the most
holy place.
The death of Jesus is vitally linked to HIS DOMINION.
2Ti 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also
reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
We suffer in carrying our crosses to be like Jesus and in that way
follow him.
We follow Him by doing what he did.
Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Do not let your flesh do many thing it wants to do.
- That is part of suffering by carrying your cross.
No only that, but the fact that we died WITH HIM and BURIED WITH HIM
means we have power.
- The cross took away our sins.
- The whole reason Adam was cast from the Garden throneroom was his
sin.
- When those sins are washed away, we have dominion once again.
- So this is another reason the burial is connected to the throne.
That rod that budded was placed UNDER THE MERCYSEAT afterwards.
Jesus went to Heaven to the throne as the rod was placed in the ark
after Jesus resurrected.
- We were seated with Him in that throne.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with
him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the
dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness
of life.
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together
with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Jesus is even seen as the gardener after he resurrected.
John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her,
Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be
the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell
me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
The picture of the ROD before the throne is Jesus' death IN A GARDEN to
resurrect.
But now before the throne there is more than a single rod made of
almond branch.
Revelation 1:4 KJV John to the seven
churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him
which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven
Spirits which are before his throne;
Revelation 4:5 KJV And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and
thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning
before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Notice that in Revelation 1:4 the SEVEN SPIRITS ARE BEFORE THE THRONE.
- In 4:5 they are called SEVEN LAMPS OF FIRE which ARE THE SEVEN
SPIRITS.
So we see the candlestick involved in this picture.
Exo 37:23 And he made his seven
lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.
Just like the rod of Aaron BEFORE the ark, the seven spirits or
candlesticks are before the throne.
- The ARK was a model of the throne on earth.
Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and,
lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before
the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God
which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about
the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their
faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and
thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for
ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are
these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me,
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him
day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall
dwell among them.
Rev 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither
shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
Rev 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed
them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God
shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
These people rely so heavily upon The Lord that they dwell before the
throne and the Lamb there feeds them and leads them.
Revelation 11:3-4 KJV And I will give
power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two
hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (4) These are the
two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of
the earth.
The position of being before the throne where the high priestly rod was
vindicated as high priestly is continued in the trees of olive later!
Notice that seven spirits are mentioned after Jesus is called a BRANCH.
Isaiah 11:1-3 KJV And there shall come
forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of
his roots: (2) And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the
spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the
spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; (3) And shall make him
of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge
after the sight of his eyes, neither he reprove after the hearing of
his ears:
And these Spirits make him of quick understanding and cause him to
judge righteously.
Its a loud picture of how we need to trust in God's power from His
throne to minister ass kings and priests.
Carrying your cross puts you before the throne.
- Denying yourself puts you before the throne.
